About Post Workboats Post Workboats is a maritime service provider with more than thirty years of experience. From their home port of Urk, Post Workboats fleet work on projects all over the world. Latest Addition to Fleet for hire In addition to its fleet of rib’s Post Workboats has added a new addition to its fleet: the Galactica catamaran. This vessel, built in 2023 in the Netherlands, is suitable for worldwide trade and is classified as MCA Cat 3 up to 20 miles.
The Galactica is equipped with 2 x Yamaha F 300 HP main engines and Yamaha helm master with autopilot and DP. The hull is made of GRP and has a net tonnage of 5 tons. With a top speed of 43 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots, the Galactica is very manoeuvrable. The tank has a capacity of 600 liters and the ship has a length of 10.20 meters and a width of 3.70 meters. The Galactica is also suitable for road transport and has four 2-tonne lifting eyes.
She is available for dive operations/ support, Survey work, ROV operations, crew transfers, can be used as a filing platform and more…
