REPTON SCHOOL BOARDING AT REPTON PREP
82
Our beautiful 55-acre site is our home and the place that brings everyone in the community together. The school day is built around our boarding community as many staff and pupils call Repton Prep their home.
We have been welcoming pupils to our private boarding school for over 60 years, helping them to gain confidence, and independence, enhance their organisational abilities and improve their social skills which have proved invaluable when they make their transition onto Repton and other senior schools in Year 9.
We have four prep boarding houses, where pupils can start boarding at age 7 (Year 3). We offer full boarding, weekly boarding, home and away boarding (where students return home on Wednesday and Saturday nights) and flexi-boarding.
At the end of a busy school day, one of the best things about being a boarder is that the fun does not stop. From action-packed activities to pupil-led enrichment sessions, there is always plenty going on. From swimming sessions to Arts & Crafts, Science ‘Lab Challenges’ to hockey, there’s always variety and lots of fun to be had.
The boarding community gets the whole school to enjoy at the weekends, and we always take full advantage of the amazing grounds and facilities we have here. We also head out and explore the local area, as well as going on trips to some amazing places.
Pupils in Years 5 to 8 benefit from a normal morning of academic lessons on Saturdays. Repton+ is for pupils in Years 3 & 4 and is a morning of fun and engaging activities with fellow pupils. On Saturday afternoon there are usually sports fixtures, as well as Boarder’s Games for those who wish to participate rather than compete. Saturday nights are an opportunity for the boarding community to take part in some exciting events.
