Ryan was born in 1995 and was raised in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. He is presently residing in his home in Nobel, Ontario near Parry Sound, Ontario. His interest in art began at a very young age and he started oil painting at the age of nine. At the age of 16, Ryan was
already successful in exhibiting and selling his works in a local gallery. His love of nature inspires him to paint natural wilderness scenes of Canada while hiking, camping and kayaking around the Great lakes and other areas of Canada.
He utilizes dynamic, impasto brushwork and layered complimentary colours to convey
emotions, feelings and thoughts while on site in the wilderness. Sobkovich particularly enjoys painting 'en plein air' and painting in large scale. Fast forward to today. At such a relatively young age, Sobkovich’s artwork has already
garnered numerous awards and ‘Best in Show’ honours. His evocative landscapes are in corporation collections worldwide and he has been in over 45 solo exhibitions and charity auctions around the world. Within the first few hours one of his solo exhibitions in Toronto was completely sold out. He lives and creates at his spectacular home studio located on Georgian Bay near Parry Sound.
