Pre-Ordering and Delivery Dates
When buying with us, oftentimes you will purchase ahead of the growing season. Pre-ordering ensures items are grown and reserved for you. We’ll do our best to send plants to you at the dates specified, but sometimes these will change due to the growing conditions of your plants.

Seedlings
The least mature and smallest of our plug plants, seedlings are grown in seed trays with a solid plug of compost. These require extra care and protection while they grow on, preferably in a glasshouse or windowsill.
Super Seedlings
Slightly more mature and established than seedlings, and grown in a seed tray with a solid plug of compost. Require additional protection from frosts while they grow on, preferably in a glasshouse or on a windowsill.
Super Plugs
A mature and more established plug plant having had the time to develop a stronger root system. We still recommend potting on and leaving on a sunny windowsill or greenhouse until slightly bigger and ready to plant outside.
Garden Ready Plugs
Our largest, and most mature, plug size which have developed vigorous root systems. These plants are strong enough to plant out into their final position upon arrival. Ideal for gardeners without the space to grow on.
Bare Roots
Upon arrival, we recommend soaking these dried plants overnight before planting out. Having already grown a full season, the top growth dies down and stores its energy for next season.
9cm & 13cm Potted Plants
The smallest of our potted plants, offering great value for money across our range of ornamental and vegetable plants. Suitable for planting out immediately.
Large Potted Plants
Ranging from 2 to 20 Ltr pots, these larger and more mature plants have been grown in ideal conditions, and are ready to be planted out into the garden at any time of year.
Seed Potatoes
Specially selected and certified by British growers for their health and quality. Bagged by weight, so the count may vary slightly. Chit upon arrival for the best start.
Onions, Shallots & Garlic Sets
Sets are sold by weight, so counts may vary slightly. Suitable for planting out immediately. If you’re unable to, keep in a cool, dark place.
Bulbs, Tubers, Rhizomes & Corms
Top size and best in quality, these dormant plants will arrive ready to be potted up or planted directly into the ground.
All sizes shown are approximate and will vary upon plant types and growing conditions. 4 Shop online
