North America's industrial lifting equipment magazine
Closing 2024 with gratitude, looking ahead to 2025
A
s 2024 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on an eventful and transformative year for the industrial lifting market. This year brought significant acquisitions, groundbreaking product launches, notable leadership transitions and the emergence of innovative companies – all setting the stage for an even more dynamic 2025.
At OCH, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued partners for their unwavering support and warmly welcome the new collaborators who have joined us this year. We are deeply grateful for the positive reception the magazine has received since its re-launch in 2023. It’s your continued enthusiasm that drives us to deliver insightful content issue after issue. Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce ambitious plans for 2025. To enhance our visibility and strengthen industry connections, we will be attending and exhibiting at more trade shows and conferences, starting with ProMat in March, in Chicago, Illinois, alongside our partners at MHI. Additionally, we’ve renewed our partnership with the premier steel show, AISTech, which takes place in May in Nashville, Tennessee. But we haven’t finished with 2024 just yet. This edition’s highlights include remarkable developments in the industry, such as Alabama’s strategic plans to boost economic investment, Austal USA’s defence industry expansion, and DeSHAZO’s establishment of a National Training Center for overhead crane technicians. Our coverage ensures you stay informed about these pivotal advancements shaping the sector. We also continue to spotlight industry leaders like Lee Bailey, manager of Manufacturing Integration & Engineering at Schmalz Vacuum Technology and president of the Monorail Manufacturers Association (MMA). His efforts, alongside the MMA, emphasise the critical importance of safety standards and the promotion of underhung cranes and monorail systems, demonstrating the profound impact of leadership on industry innovation and safety. Before we sign off for the year, Joe Woolerton, our head of sales, wanted to share a few words: "Firstly, I’d like to echo our editorial team’s gratitude for your support over the past 16 months. Your feedback is invaluable – please let us know what you’d like to see in the magazine next year. Wishing you a joyous festive season and a successful 2025." We can’t wait to share more exciting updates and innovations in the coming year. Here’s to a prosperous 2025
for all! Warm regards,
The OCH editorial team
