exico’s industrial construction sector is projected to expand by 1.9% in real terms in 2026, followed by average


annual growth of 2.6% from 2027 to 2030, driven by increasing export activity and rising investment in chemical and vehicle parts manufacturing facilities. According to INEGI, merchandise exports (in US dollar terms) rose by 8.1% year on year in January 2026, following growth of 17.2%


in December and 7.9% in November 2025, while annual export values increased by 7.6% in 2025 and 4.2% in 2024. However, growing volatility in US tariffs and uncertainty around trade policy are creating a more complex outlook for 2026, particularly for manufacturing and exports.
