Comprehensive laborers’ training programs, taught by ANSI- Certified Instructors, lead to a safer and more dependable workforce. Safety Hazard Awareness for Tunnels (SHAFT) is a 40-hour classroom course consisting of a blend of classroom discussion and use of materials and mock-ups focusing on basic tunnel safety. The 40-hour Tunnel Rail Course details the tools, vocabulary, procedures and equipment required to assemble and disassemble a ring steel-lagging tunnel.
