The biennial international exhibition of technologies for the wood and furniture industry will be held on June 9-12, 2026. Xylexpo is inaugurating a
new exhibition format “Matec- materiali e tecnologie”, a late- spring event dedicated to the manufacturing industry that will include Plast – exhibition of technologies for the plastic and rubber industry – and Composites Future, expo and conference dedicated to technology and materials for composites.
Thus there will be three exhibitions in one big event with a focus on “multi- materiality”, with an expected attendance of 1,700 exhibitors

The three exhibitions have
created a new exhibition layout based on segments, technologies and materials that, in the future, might include other segments of the manufacturing industry, showing a shared desire to respond to the changing needs of exhibitors and visitors with an innovative approach. “The next edition of Xylexpo is a milestone in the journey
we started long ago to create ever stronger, more tangible and attractive synergies for an audience looking for more articulated and complex answers”, said Enrico Aureli, president of Xylexpo and Acimall, the association of Italian woodworking technology manufacturers. “The birth of Federazione
Confindustria Macchine, the closer connection of associations representing the manufacturers of instrumental goods for the wood, plastic, ceramic and packaging industries, and the identification of a destination shared with the composite materials industry, enable us to look at the future of our exhibitions from a different perspective, pursuing closer integration and collaboration in order to provide visitors and exhibitors with an innovative context, where they can discover technologies created in contiguous industries and that, more and more often, respond to shared needs,” he added.

Sonae Arauco is sending a clear signal for the future of its plant in Beeskow with the €6m investment in a new MDF sanding line to further improve product quality and secure production capacities for the future. The strategic investment, Sonae Arauco says, reflects the company’s strong confidence in the long-term potential of the site and in the local team. Operations were scheduled to start in August.
The new MDF sanding line not only increases the site’s output – but the company says it also makes it fit for the future, with customers benefiting from even more precise processing and more efficient workflows.
“Investments in times like these are a clear commitment to the location,” said Robert Rösner, plant manager of Sonae Arauco in Beeskow. “We are investing
strategically and focusing on continuous improvements and technological innovations. This also shows that our customers’ needs are our top priority and that we are always there for them. That is why we are taking the next step to fulfil their requirements in the best possible way and strengthen our market position at the same time.” Sonae Arauco
commissioned a state-of-the- art particleboard plant at Beeskow in 2020.
