The wood fibre insulation board market has seen its growth checked in the last couple of years due to the Covid hangover. But the product’s benefits in helping the ecological building trend should ensure bright prospects in the years to come. Stephen Powney reports

he wood-based panels industry is hoping for the construction industry to improve during 2025. Like most wood-based products, the wood fibre insulation market has experienced jittery markets and reduced demand over the past two years. The market itself consists of a wide array of products in either rigid board form or as flexible batts. It’s a product that ticks so many boxes in the ecological, low carbon building industry, whether used for roof, flooring or wall applications.
