LIFTKET CHAIN HOIST DELIVERS ‘HORSE POWER’

iftket Hoffmann has supplied a Star Liftket electric chain hoist for lifting horses into a CT unit (CAT scan), at the University of


Veterinary Medicine, in Budapest. The chain hoist, which has a load capacity of 1.000 kg and an electric trolley with two speeds was mounted onto a 4m long crane runway in the middle of the ceiling above the CT unit. During the examination procedure, the horse is lifted onto the examination table by a lowered CT-ring, which is moved using the Liftket chain hoist. Jürgen Dlugi, CEO, Liftket Hoffmann said this was a special project referred to them by a partner in Hungary. “This was a great project for us implemented in the field of veterinary medicine. A Liftket electric chain hoist is now part of the new CT for horses at the university which is based in Üllö, a city


30km south of Budapest,” he said. In order to install the chain hoist, the pendant control unit was routed to the side of the wall via a cable duct. Thanks to the engineering team behind the project they were able to carry out the customised installation to make it possible to carry out their veterinary exams safely.
