Framatome’s Richland, Washington nuclear fuel manufacturing facility is the center of excellence for innovative fuel designs and fabrication. The fuel we manufacture here accounts for 5% of the electricity used in the U.S., and over 90% of the energy we use comes from low-carbon sources.


Our world-class dry conversion process has essentially eliminated


industrial waste at our site, making it the most environmentally advanced nuclear fuel facility in the U.S.
