Envantage – The Challenge
In 2021 the introduction of TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) reporting requirements, alongside increasing demands from investors and customers for climate action, Luceco sought help to develop a carbon management strategy. As a key supplier to major retail brands in the UK and abroad, it quickly became clear that an increase in transparency around energy and carbon emissions was needed.
Envantage – The Solution
Envantage took Luceco through their Carbon Roadmap Programme which would help them to set up the right governance structure, assess their climate-related risks and opportunities, and quantify their Scope 3 emissions. These steps laid the foundations for establishing ambitious emission reduction targets through the Science Based Targets Initiative.
To achieve these targets, we have developed an action plan so that Luceco can work towards reducing their emissions, increase transparency and accountability for stakeholders, and enable them to respond to the CDP climate change module.
Working with Envantage has given Luceco a clear understanding of its carbon impacts and enabled the group to take the lead on its own carbon reduction goals.
“Operating sustainably is a key part of the Group’s culture and is reflected within our Purpose, Mission and Strategy, where we have made sustainability a central pillar of the Group’s success”
John Hornby – Chief Executive Officer
