• Official transcripts sent directly from the high school/college • Official evaluation of the transcripts from one of the companies on
www.naces.org • Official translation of the transcript (if applicable) • English Language Requirement (one of the below): – TOEFL: 68 Internet-based, 520 paper-based – IELTS: 6, with no sub-score lower than 5 – Successful completion of level 112 from an English Language Center – Graduation from a high school where English is the primary language of instruction – SAT Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing score of 480 or higher (for freshman applicants only) – A Duolingo English Test score of 95 – Successful completion of two semesters at an accredited U.S. institution as a full-time student and completion of two semesters of English composition with a grade of C- or higher (online English composition courses are not accepted)
• A non-refundable application fee of $60 • A copy of your passport

After Admission
After admission to Winthrop University, students’ acceptance packets are sent to the International Center. The International Center then provides an I-20, which is a “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.” Students need the I-20 to apply for a student visa in the U.S. Embassy in their country of origin. Proof of funding is required before the I-20 can be issued.
