Membership Benefits
Let TNMHO help you and your staff meet your education requirements. No other organization in Texas or New Mexico can provide you the number and quality of TNMHO’s educational offerings. We are all hospice, all the time, and we’re here for you.
ONLINE EDUCATION
No other organization in Texas or New Mexico can provide the number or quality of TNMHO’s educational offerings. As a TNMHO member, your organization will receive significant discounts for most courses and training sessions. We coordinate more than 90 hours of seminars and training opportunities led by respected leaders in the hospice community.
Can’t make it to training in person? Not a problem. Hospice providers have 24-hour access to over 70 online courses through our website. Online professional development sessions are available for all hospice disciplines, from administration and billing, to nursing, bereavement, spiritual care, and volunteer coordination. We’ve got your whole organization covered!
For even greater value, consider Membership Plus. This level of membership includes access to all online offerings for the year. Train your whole team, on-demand, with Membership Plus.
PUBLIC POLICY AND ADVOCACY
TNMHO represents member organizations at both the national and state levels before legislative bodies and regulatory agencies. Our board of directors and staff are respected points of contact and information for rule-making authorities. We advocate for our members in governance decisions large and small, offering practical insight and advocating for fair and ethical policies. In the coming years, we anticipate challenges to funding and standards of care as Congress and state legislatures grapple with financial and regulatory issues.
REFERRAL RESOURCE
As a member of TNMHO, your hospice organization will be listed on our website and member directory. The hospice locator tool is another valuable resource for families in need of hospice care—and they find our members first. Another referral opportunity stream is the TNMHO toll-free number, which is published in Medicare’s hospice booklet. When individuals and families call that number in search of quality hospice care we direct them to member organizations whenever possible.
THE UPDATE
The update, a weekly news brief, provides timely information about hospice around the state, and the nation. A weekly regulatory update provides information gleaned from federal, Texas and New Mexico registers, as well as information and analysis developed from meetings and other sources. When either state legislature is in session, members receive weekly legislative updates.
COMMUNITY
TNMHO understands the power of synergy, and seeks to connect members that can be of service and support to one another. There is no “one size fits all” in hospice care, and leaders need a network of resources to tackle day-to-day challenges with clarity and confidence. Creating a sense of community that supports quality hospice care – through online groups, roundtables, and advisory panels – is an evolving pursuit.
