What is TNMHO?
The Texas and New Mexico Hospice Organization (TNMHO) is dedicated to promoting quality compassionate care for the terminally ill and their families, and to providing educational opportunities and support to the professionals who serve the terminally ill.
HISTORY
TNMHO has been advocating for excellence in hospice care for more than 35 years. Founded in 1983, the Texas Hospice Organization began as a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to upholding compassion, quality and ethics in hospice care. New Mexico hospice providers with membership in the New Mexico Hospice Organization (NMHO) became THO members in 1995. The two entities formally became a joint organization (TNMHO) in 1998.
OUR MISSION
The Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization supports members in providing care that enhances the quality of life for patients experiencing life-limiting illness, and their families. We advocate for excellence in service delivery, ethical practices, ongoing education, and responsible regulation.
