The 2020 shadowing scheme for the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals has been extended until October 2020, giving children and young people more time to access the fantastic shortlists!


You can register your reading group free today and get your students involved in reading, debating and sharing their thoughts on the shortlisted books. We have teaching notes on all of the books plus a new interactive website where Shadowers can submit reviews, share their artwork and chart their favourites! Visit www.ckg.org.uk to find out more.


Our reading for pleasure scheme has thousands of registered groups in the UK and overseas, who read and discuss the shortlisted books to ‘shadow’ the judging process and vote for their favourites to win the Shadowers’ Choice Awards. The 2020 winners will be revealed in October 2020 so there is plenty of time to take part!
