Get ready for Libraries Change Lives Week celebration
TO mark the National Year of Reading in 2026, CILIP’s annual Libraries Change Lives Week, will be devoted to the power of reading and literacy. This year’s Libraries Change Lives Week takes place between
1-7 June and offers libraries from all sectors the opportunity to mark their own achievements and join a national celebration of li- braries and the people who work in them. Libraries Change Lives week is a perfect opportunity to connect with your users, engage with new users and highlight the positive impact of services. As usual, CILIP has produced a set of free resources to help libraries prepare for Libraries Change Lives Week. A spokesperson for CILIP said: “During this week we will be supporting the Nation- al Year of Reading and putting libraries at the heart of a national celebration.
“Libraries Change Lives is an advocacy campaign capturing and celebrating the impact of libraries, putting the sector on a public platform where libraries, library staff and library users can show- case the value of their service – both locally and nationally. This week is an opportunity to inspire people to visit their local library across the UK. This nationwide push reconnects people with the
