There are other products like a demon- stration session in the Expo Pavilion, or being able to offer a delegate breakfast. The prospectus outlines all the supplier and sponsorship opportunities. If you’d like to be contacted once the prospectus is available, please send your details and a message about WLIC 2027 to ifla-sponsor-
ship@kit-group.org.”
Physical and digital attraction The exhibition will be a physical focal point for the Congress. “It’s always an absolute priority for us to have the exhibi- tion in a central place within the confer- ence centre,” Alain said. “If necessary we will arrange meeting spaces and services such as catering within and around it. It’s the place for delegates to meet and network.” He said: “For Busan we wanted the
exhibition in the centre of the Congress Hall but for various reasons it was not possible. So, we went out of our way to create one of the main session rooms, within the exhibition area, so everybody will go there to get to the session in the hall. This comes at a cost but it gives attention to the booths.”
Delegates will also be pulled in digitally. Helen said: “Everything is on the app, from where to mix with other delegates, the list of exhibitors, the map of exhibi- tors, all of the sessions – and gamification that may involve the exhibitors.” Alain said: “It’s interesting to note that our surveys tell us that 33 per cent of our attendees have spent between two and four hours at the exhibition.” There will be a range of volunteering opportunities offered by CILIP regarding the preparations for WLIC 2027. Stay tuned for specific calls for where you could help.

WLIC 2027: could you get involved? There are plenty of opportunities for
organisations and individuals to get involved in WLIC 2027 through commit- tees or hosting a satellite meeting.
Host a satellite meeting
Could you host a UK meeting as part of WLIC 2027? Each year, the IFLA Congress programmes a series of satellite meetings which take place immediately prior to, or immediately after, the Congress. Satel- lite meetings are a great opportunity to connect with IFLA’s community groups; get involved with the Congress; showcase local venues and institutions; and network with a global attendee audience. Applications to host a satellite event will open in March 2026, but in advance of that we are hoping to spread the word and to get colleagues thinking about how you can get involved. Find out more here.
