Quick and easy festive reindeer card

Handmade cards are more meaningful, they create joy for both the giver and the receiver, but most importantly they are unique and one of a kind. This simple festive reindeer card so easy to make, but so effective. Guaranteed to melt hearts this festive season.

How to create:

Step 1: Take a piece of card, you can use A4 or A3 if you want it bigger and fold it in half. You can either make your card portrait or landscape, but we went with portrait!

Step 2: Take a colour mixing tray and pour some brown paint, make sure there is enough to cover the child’s hand.

Step 3: Assist the child in dipping their whole palm into the paint, before printing it onto the card, fingers facing down first. The child should then use the remaining paint on their hand to do another handprint with the fingers facing upwards, next to but overlapping slightly the first handprint. This will create the reindeer’s body and head, as seen in the photographs.

Step 4: Add glitter round the reindeer’s neck as reins, wiggly eyes and a red pom-pom nose to make a face. You can then decorate the rest of the card, adding messages using your paint brush, or shapes with a sponge or foam dabbers.

Step 5: Leave the card to dry before writing on the inside. 10 For bringing the magic of Christmas into every classroom, Hope is all you need
