GROUND-BREAKING PET SCAN IMAGING


PET SCAN IMAGING is nuclear imaging that provides functional diagnosis of bone and soft tissue disease.


BENEFITS:


The technology is sensitive enough to detect subtle bone, joint, and soft tissue injury, often before other imaging modalities can.


Images are fused to CT or MRI images to overlay sensitive PET information with anatomic CT and MRI information.


On the East Coast, the positron emission tomography (PET) scan technology is available only at Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center.
