Growth Opportunities The data bears out industry observers’ assertion of expanding senior living capacity. Total senior living resident capacity for the largest 80 provid- ers was 524,625 in 2015 vs. 541,606 today (top 80 only), for an increase of 2.5 percent. Find- ings are similar for the NIC MAP Primary 31 Markets where inventory increased by 12,520 units (2.3%) between the second quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2016, according to Mace. “Eleven percent of this activity took place in Minneapolis, followed by Dallas with a 9.8 percent share,” she says. “The industry is going through a decent
