The City of Bellflower offers an exciting volunteer job training program that provides resources for young teens in the community that will not only equip them for life after graduation, but also give them exposure to different positions within the Parks and Recreation Department. The LEAD program provides young teens with the proper guidance, level of expectation and tools to learn life skills that are crucial for leadership development. The program benefits them both in their professional and personal developments, while teaching them basic job skills and the importance of community involvement. The LEAD Program is looking for volunteers with an open mind and desire to learn first-hand what it takes to join the Parks and Recreation Department’s team.
