Many Year 6 readers may require books at the same level that their peers were reading in Years 4 and 5 (book bands Grey to Dark Blue) but that does not mean that they want to be reading the same books. We want these readers to be justifiably proud of their reading progress and to give them real books that would tempt their more able peers. These books are at just the right reading levels for these readers but have been specially selected for Year 6.
