We have spent 12 months looking for books for each collection that are skilfully written, entertaining to read, the right text level, an appropriate interest age and have content that sits comfortably in the


designated Key Stage. The books also need to make an individual contribution to the collection, this contribution could be to make readers laugh, to stretch their vocabulary, to provoke a thoughtful response or many other positive aspects of reading and all our collections have a variety. The only way to do this is to read all the books; no wonder we think they are worth covering with tough protective jackets free of charge.”
