F
rom the beginning, Landis Homes established a place where residents could be involved in decisions and the direction of the community. They serve on the Landis Homes Board
of Directors and are represented on the Resident Council, where policies, questions, and concerns are discussed openly. The atmosphere that encourages freedom to pursue interests and acts of service is apparent by the many resident-run programs, clubs, and outings as well as by great interest in volunteering on and off campus. One of the more recent resident- initiated projects was the creation of a little free library in Leaman Woods at Landis Homes.
