Cockpit Fire Extinguishers
The latest FIA standard for Plumbed in Fire Suppression systems, 8865:2015 is a huge step for competitor safety. This new standard is now mandatory in WRC from 2016 and for all R5, S2000 and T1 vehicles in 2017. It remains a recommendation for all FIA categories
and is scheduled for adoption by FIA GT categories in 2018. Using a combination of 3M® Novec 1230™ and an AR-AFFF blend fi res are knocked down and controlled preventing re ignition, this means the Zero 3620 range is the safest, most advanced, fastest and most validated product available to competitors today. When choosing an FIA 8865-2015 system it is critical to specify by the cockpit volume (m3) in order to maintain protection from a fi re and the safety of the driver/co-pilot. All Lifeline Zero 3620 systems are described by cockpit volume to make this choice simple. Due to mandated ballast being built into the smaller system there is no weight advantage across the 3620 range.

Novec™1230 Zero 360 has moved the boundaries of motorsport car fi re extinguishers. Using only the fi nest materials in both its construction and installation kit this system performed extremely well in the FIA tests for plumbed in fi re systems which were witnessed by the British Standard Institute. 3.0kg designed for rallying and 2.25kg designed for single seaters.
