Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Steven Cranwell as global head, Commercial Real Estate (CRE). Based in Singapore, Steven will be responsible for the Bank’s market-leading CRE segment and be a member of the global banking management team.

Steven has over 25 years of corporate and institutional banking experience including project finance, asset finance, structured trade and advisory. Most recently he was head of commercial banking for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey at HSBC. Prior to that, Steven held various senior leadership positions at National Australia Bank including Hong Kong CEO and head of the bank’s institutional and corporate finance business for Asia.

In Lumb’s previous role, he helped navigate UBS Delta to a commercial vendor model, then through the sale of the business to StatPro in May 2017. He started at UBS Delta in 2006 covering Northern European accounts, with a focus on asset managers, pension funds and insurers. Lumb spent three years as a relative value analyst with Nomura International.
Robert Sharpe has just joined Kabbage as its chief operating officer, as the online small business lender reached the $4 billion delivered. Sharpe has more than 20 years of executive leadership in North America, Europe and Asia. He has successfully held various C-level positions, including president, chief executive officer and chief operating officer with multiple global consumer goods companies, each serving tens of thousands of customers and generating billions of dollars in revenue. With an additional ten years of commercial banking and corporate finance experience, Sharpe will be responsible for Kabbage’s continued growth and operational oversight as the company expands internationally and scales its services to serve more and larger small businesses.

Overbond has announced the appointment of George Harrington as the company’s head of US business development. The capital markets platform for bond origination and fixed income deal execution, will base Harrington in its New York office.

Harrington is a seasoned debt capital markets professional, having held senior executive roles across the financial services industry, including head of global markets at Bloomberg where he led global FICC sales and product teams. In this role, he was responsible for the overall strategy and delivery of Bloomberg fixed income, foreign exchange, and execution management platforms.
