the president’s message
our 2018 Chapter President. His steadfast guidance and leadership helped cultivate what I hope to achieve in 2019. A very special thanks to our outgoing 2018 board members, who are already greatly missed: Julia Souza and Mike Pettis. While Mike left a little early and headed to another state, we are confident he will join another local CAI Chapter and carry on his Homeowner Leader efforts there. I also want to send a warm welcome to our newest 2019 board members, Marc Glassberg of Leisure Town Home Association and Scott Hubbard of Associa Northern California. Tey have already pro- vided value to the board and fit right in as if they have always been there.
S
I cannot say enough how lucky I am to be a part of the current
board,
as we have such a cohesive, warm and energetic group that keeps our Chapter moving full speed ahead.
Finally, I cannot be more pleased that our President Elect, Jennifer Richardson, takes over as President in 2020! She is a strong force and will be an excellent leader for CAI.
As we move swiftly through the first quarter, I want to highlight our Chapter goals for 2019. We are continu- ing with the ongoing trend of welcoming any and all Homeowner Leaders to our chapter at our luncheon and social events. We are here to serve our community associations, and what better way of doing that then
ince this is my first President’s message for Te Voice I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank Geoff Browne, PCAM,
having a growing number of Homeowner Leaders at our events?! Please keep spreading the word that the cost to join CAI is $250 for up to 15 board/commit- tee members! Tis is a legendary price for the value and it helps further educate and solidify our com- munities.
We are extremely proud of our Chapter’s Legisla- tive Action Committee (LSC) who not only met but exceeded their annual Buck a Door / CLAC goal by 176%. Tank you to Morgan Fussell and the LSC members for their con- tinual support at our Mini-Lobby Days, Corks for CLAC and Buck a Door campaigning. A very spe- cial thanks to Te Rivers Com- munity Association, Glenbrooke Community Association, Lake of the Pines Association, Te Park- way at Folsom HOA and Whit- ney Ranch Community Associa- tion who donated to Buck a Door. To those who bought raffle tickets at our luncheons and those who donated their time and money to the Corks for CLAC event, thank
you! Your contributions do not go unnoticed!
Lastly, please be sure to look at our Chapter Calendar for our Community Service events. CAI is about edu- cating and serving our communities, and what better way to do that then joining in on one of our Commu- nity Service volunteer days. Please mark the Ronald McDonald House BBQ on April 11th
on your personal
calendar, contact the community service committee for details and join us in helping those around us.
