SIR wins ASAE Power
of A Award SIR’s IAmIR Diversity and Inclusion Campaign has been honored with a "Power of A" Silver Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in the category of “The Power to Create a Competitive Workforce.”
IAmIR began in 2017 as a way to assist with the recruitment of women and underrepresented minorities into the specialty. The campaign was expanded in 2018, serving as a rallying cry for SIR 2018, generating a spirit of camaraderie and celebration. This award is a testament to that spirit and the commitment by the specialty for the IR workforce to reflect the diversity of the patients you treat. It is a powerful validation that the efforts
to recruit and retain IRs from diverse backgrounds are resonating outside of SIR, with other associations who seek to make a substantial, positive impact on the world every day.
ASAE is the premier, national association for those working in associations. It is where SIR staff go to learn from their peers and discover new and innovative ideas to support you throughout your careers as you develop your practices and advance IR through research, education and advocacy. SIR is proud that other associations look to us as an example of how a workforce can be more competitive when diversity is a strategic imperative embraced by all.
