Te Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council is the independent voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners in the UK
If you feel you might benefit
Are you considering complementary therapies to help support your life- long health and wellbeing goals?
How can you be confident you’re choosing a therapist you can trust? Health professionals such as doctors, nurses, dentists, pharma- cists, physiotherapists, chiroprac- tors and osteopaths have standard- ised training and exams and are regulated by law. However, anyone can call themselves a comple- mentary therapist. Tey may have completed a short online course of dubious quality, or not partici- pated in any training at all. So how can you be sure you are making the right choice?
Te Complementary and Natural
Healthcare Council (CNHC) is the independent voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners in the UK, set up with government funding and support in 2008. CNHC’s register of practi- tioners is approved as an accred- ited register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), a body accountable to Parliament. Tis provides additional assurance that CNHC registrants meet UK-wide standards of patient safety and service quality — giving you greater peace of mind. All CNHC registrants are trained
to a level that meets government standards for the therapies that
they provide. Tey also all agree to comply with CNHC’s rigorous Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance. CNHC’s sole purpose is to protect
the public and will investigate claims against
practitioners with them.
Did you know your GP can refer you to a CNHC registered comple- mentary therapist? Increasingly, more and more practi- tioners of conventional medicine are recognising the benefits of comple- mentary therapies. General Medical Council (GMC) guidance states that doctors can refer patients to practi- tioners on Accredited Registers — which includes everyone registered with CNHC.

Feeling run down? Follow your gut feelings
Have you ever wondered why you feel constantly tired, experience brain fog or struggle with health issues like skin problems, pain or mood swings? “Emerging research reveals that
excess inflammation is a key driver behind many health problems, and often, it starts in the gut” says Dr Sally Bramley, an NHS-trained doctor specialising in functional and lifestyle medicine, and founder of Tru Health. Tru Health is redefining what
it means to be truly well. Tis cutting-edge virtual clinic goes far beyond simply managing symptoms — they’re on a mission to help you unlock vibrant, lasting health by addressing root causes. Te impact of this reaches far individual wellbeing. As
beyond
healthcare pressures grow, Dr Bramley says: “It’s time people had the knowledge and tools to take control of their health. At Tru Health, the team truly listens and provides compas- sionate, clear guidance to help you cut through the fog and thrive.” Imagine a team of health special-
ists who truly take the time to under- stand you — your mind, emotions, relationships and even the beliefs shaping your wellbeing. “Addressing inflammation early
could be the key to preventing long- term health issues and supporting lifelong vitality. Poor digestive health is the most common trigger I see, yet many are unaware of it. Tat’s why we created a programme to help optimise this vital function.”
Tru Health is launching this
programme next month, featuring expert guidance on impactful life- style shifts, supplements and a personalised nutrition plan to heal and strengthen your gut. To celebrate the launch, they’re
offering a 20% discount on advanced gut testing — a game-changing opportunity to transform your health from the inside out. In recent years, extensive
research has revealed just how vital the gut microbiome is for overall health, sparking a surge of interest in testing. “Your microbiome is a commu-
nity of tiny organisms, like bacteria and fungi, that live in and on your body — especially in your gut. Tese microbes play a crucial role in diges- tion, immunity, and overall health” Dr Bramley explains. Unlike some standard micro-
biome assessments, Tru Health’s testing offers a more comprehen- sive view, providing insights into factors including digestion, inflam- mation, immunity, parasites, infec- tions, as well as the microbiome. Tese insights can guide personal- ised strategies to support your path to true health.
