Golfers who regularly travel to France and other European countries including Spain could make savings of up to 25% on green fees by purchasing a Golfy card. The card gives holders discounts at around
158 golf courses in five European countries and includes access to top tournament courses including Spain’s PGA Catalunya Resort and Le Golf National, Paris, home of The 2018 Ryder Cup. Card holders can also save up to 15% when
booking a room at over 130 resorts in the programme and earn loyalty points called ‘yards’
when they book accommodation, golf lessons or even spa treatments. The Golfy Indigo Card, currently regularly used
by 52,000 golfers, is available for €45 (£40) — the standard cost of the card in France is €109 (£98). A Platine Card (valid for two people) costing €179 (£160) offers discounts of up to 30% on 18-hole courses.

AIRPORT CLUB HIRE
Clubstohire.com is set to open two new shops at Spanish airports early in 2017. The company, which rents out high end sets of golf clubs to golfers, already has a shop in Malaga and services 20 other destinations as well as including Cadiz, the latest facility to open in autumn 2016. Investment was recently secured to triple the size of the shop at Faro airport, due for completion in December 2016, and the company reports a 10% rise in business in 2016 catering for almost 80,000 clients. Sets of clubs rent for €35-€60 (£31-£55) a week. A new website launches at IGTM in Mallorca in November 2016.
