Empower the next generation Animal lovers are joining Kelp Social
Education charity, Ort UK, empowers secondary school students through free one-to-one careers mentoring and group employability skills training. Its fi ve Ort Jump programmes, estab- lished in 2009, help equip young peo- ple with the tools needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of work. Each year, hundreds of volunteers from a wide range of industries sup- port students to make informed deci- sions about their next steps, helping them to navigate their pathway to a fulfi lling professional life. “My mentor motivated me to keep
aiming high and their insights opened my eyes to paths I hadn’t considered,” an ORT JUMP mentee told us. “I gen- uinely believe I’ll be able to achieve my goals and aspirations due to their words of wisdom.” Hilary Tait, careers and curriculum
support manager at participating school,
La Sainte Union, said:
“T e Ort Jump programmes will be transformative as young people enter the labour market and above all remind us that there is some good in the world.”
