BIRD WATCHING IN Valencia


Valencia is a well-known destination for its sensational food, history and its beautiful weather. But another draw is its rich natural environments and great habitat diversity, with vast wild spaces and thriving bird life.


On the doorstep of a range of natural parks, Valencia has areas of special scientific interest as well as some of Europe’s most vital natural habitats. the coastal wetland regions are vital breeding areas for species such as the collared pratincole, whiskered tern, purple swamphen, great reed warbler and Montagu’s harrier, with aquatic species including the squacco heron, night heron, purple heron, bitern, litle bitern, great egret, glossy ibis and the stunning greater flamingo. Valencia provide nesting habitats for eagles, including short-toed, golden, Bonelli´s and booted. There
