Research carried out by The Office for National Statistics has revealed 17.7% of the UK population was made up of people over the age of 65 in 2014 — expected to increase to 19.9% by 2024, given current projections. More people aged 75 and over are staying

Property group JLL produced a study showing 80% of over-65s will find themselves in the mid or high-end affluence bracket by 2025.
