Grasmere Gingerbread Grasmere Gingerbread® has been donating money to Cumbria Wildlife Trust since 2014 and has recently passed the fantastic milestone of £2,000 in donations. Te historic 171-year-old bakery and tourist
atraction in Grasmere village started helping Cumbria Wildlife Trust by donating 20p from the sale of every Chocolate Dipper. More recently, £1 from the sale of every hand-stitched Hedgehog and Red Squirrel collectible has contributed significantly to project funds. We really value our long-term business supporters and benefit from lasting support like this. Joanne Hunter, co-director of Grasmere
Gingerbread®, said: “As a business whose customers want to experience the natural world, we rely upon organisations like Cumbria Wildlife Trust to conserve our county’s flora and fauna. We are thrilled that our ongoing donations continue to help the organisation to undertake its vital work.”
Te Birds’ Bistro Te Birds’ Bistro is one of our newest business partners. Tey offered bird seed as part of an offer to new members joining during July. Since then, we have gone on to enhance the relationship, whereby any new orders placed with Te Birds’ Bistro that mention ‘Cumbria Wildlife Trust’ will result in 10% of the sales value being donated to the Trust. Tis is a fantastic example of a partnership that’s good for the business, good for our feathered friends and raises funds so that the Trust can continue its work to benefit nature. Jackie Ashton-Taylor, owner of Te Birds’ Bistro, said: "As a long-established Cumbrian business, our passion for wildlife and a loyal customer base have helped Te Birds' Bistro to support wildlife for over 25 years. Introducing our quality products to an even wider audience through this partnership with Cumbria Wildlife Trust is great news, and we look forward to welcoming new customers to our amazing business whilst supporting the great work of the Trust.”
