They count actual sales and audio streams from last Friday to Thursday, based on sales of downloads, CDs, vinyl and other physical formats and weighted audio streams.


Not messing around: Lola Young scores first No.1 single with Messy

orty-three weeks after its release, and nine weeks after it entered the Top 75, Messy is finally No.1 for Lola Young. The sixth single from the Londoner’s second album, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway, and the first to chart, Messy’s coronation, after three consecutive weeks at No.3, comes as the track’s consumption grows for the 17th time in 18 weeks. It increases 2.48% week-on-week to 50,697 units, with a contribution of 1,052 from the newly-released 7-inch red vinyl edition, alongside 2,391 digital downloads and 47,254 sales-equivalent streams helping it to exceed 50,000 units for the first time. Its to-date consumption increases to 356,993 units, while This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway – which has been on release for 30 weeks without making the Top 200 – achieves its highest weekly consumption yet (729 units), raising its cume to 7,687 units. Ahead in most of the week’s sales flashes but defeated at the death, Apt is No.2 for the fourth time in a row and fifth time in all (47,954 sales) for Rosé & Bruno Mars, while That’s So True ends its second run at the top, dipping to No.3 on consumption of 45,365 units for Gracie Abrams.


Drake had more Top 75 entries than any other act in the first half of the 2020s (2020-2024), scoring 54 times. Central Cee did well too, racking up three dozen of them between his chart debut towards the end of 2020 and the end of 2024. They even collaborated on one, On The Radar Freestyle, which reached No.26 in 2023. Drake has yet to get off the mark in 2025 but Central Cee has the week’s highest entry, with GBP, a collaboration with 21 Savage. Debuting at No.6 (25,073 sales), GBP is Central Cee’s 37th Top 75 entry and ninth Top 10 hit, 21 Savage’s 24th Top 75 and seventh Top 10 hit. Chrystal’s introductory hit, The Days reaches a new peak, climbing 5-4 on its 17th week in the Top 75 with consumption up a further 7.22% to a best-yet 33,220 units.

Debuting at No.61 (7,357 sales), Raving In The Studio is Aitch’s 29th hit – a collaboration with fellow Mancunian Bou, for whom this is the third hit on which he gets an artist credit. Real Man (92-64, 7,069 sales) is the fourth Top 75 hit for Beabadoobee. Meanwhile, her 2022 single The Perfect Pair is enjoying modest viral support and entered the Top 100 for the

Surpassing the No.20 peak it scaled three weeks ago, Dirty Cash (Money Talks) bounces 22-17 (14,791 sales) for Pawsa feat. The Adventures Of Stevie V. There is progress for Bad Bunny, whose first ever solo chart entries all make upwards progress: DTMF moving 45-26 (12,907 sales), Nuevayol ascending 65-58 (7,408 sales) and Baile Inolvidable inching 75-72 (6,581 sales). All are in the Top 10 in America. There are also new peaks for: Do I Wanna Know? (26-18, 14,335 sales) by Hozier, Carry You Home (25-23, 13,165 sales) by Alex Warren, Denial Is A River (31-24, 12,992 sales) by Doechii, Indigo (39-33, 11,560 sales) by Sam Barber feat. Avery Anna, and Headlock (37-35, 10,793 sales) by Imogen Heap. Appearing elsewhere: Constellations (50-47, 9,172 sales) by Jade LeMac, No One Noticed (56-53, 8,216 sales) by The Marías, Push The Tempo (59-54, 8,212 sales) by Sub Focus & Katy B, 30 For 30 (62-60, 7,360 sales) by SZA feat. Kendrick Lamar and No Bad Vibes (67- 65, 7,049 sales) by Jazzy & Kilimanjaro.


Overall singles consumption is up 1.42% week-on-week to 29,807,295 units, 5.89% above same week 2024 consumption of 28,149,505 units. Paid-for sales are down 1.07% week-on-week at 241,785, 12.99% below same week 2024 sales of 277,877.
