Alok & Clementine Douglas rise to No.1 ANALYSIS


Douglas, leaving Flashdance/Say Hello from Deep Dish to take the runners-up slot for the second week in a row, marginally in arrears. Body Talk is the seventh Upfront No.1 for Alok – 33-year-old Brazilian electronic music DJ, producer and musician Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo. It is also the seventh Upfront No.1 for British singer/songwriter Douglas, who is also 33. More than nine years after her only previous club chart excursion – reaching No.5 on the Upfront club chart as featured vocalist on Hot Source’s Lovin You – Chrystal’s first bona fide hit is The Days, which currently sits in the top five of the OCC singles chart, whilst debuting at No.36 on the Upfront club and jumping 11-1 on the Commercial Pop club chart. Its success on the latter list comes after it

sinewy house cut topped off with a classy vocal, Body Talk eases its way to the top of the Upfront chart this week for Alok x Clementine


was serviced in a plethora of mixes, including contributions from Southstar, Rudimental, Shaun Dean, Luke Kearns, JKay, JGS & Intent, Calvin Logue and Jamesy. A feelgood house track, whose origins date from 2015, it is also available in unserviced but commercially available mixes from Mazza, Notion and D.O.D. Sampling Jamaican singer Omi’s 2015 No.1 OCC hit of the same title, rapper Prinz – 20-year-old Eni Prince Oziegbe from Croydon – secures his first Upfront No.1 with Cheerleader. It replaces Addicted, which spent two weeks at No.1 for CKay & The Cavemen, and now drops to No.2.
