EastEnders star and Strictly judge to share role in Annie


Anita Dobson and Craig Revel Horwood will share the role of Miss Hannigan in the UK tour of Annie, which opens at the Manchester Opera House on February 2. Famous as Angie Watts in EastEnders, Dobson will play the role from February 2 to April 27 then Revel Horwood, best known as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, takes over from April 30 to July 6. He played the role for this


production in the West End and on the 2015-16 UK tour. The 2019 tour will visit


Jason Donovan turns theatre producer with Priscilla show


Singer and actor Jason Donovan has teamed with producer Mark Goucher to create a new production of the hit musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Donovan performed in the


cast of the original West End production and two UK tours. The musical will open in


Dartford in September 2019 ahead of a tour to Bradford, Rhyl, Milton Keynes, Wimbledon, Malvern, Blackpool, Leicester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Inverness and Manchester. The musical will include


classic songs such as It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, I Love The Nightlife and Finally. The musical

Pop star Louise Redknapp and comedian Brian Conley will star in Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical at the Savoy Theatre in London’s West (January 28-August 31). Inspired by the 1980 film, the


musical tells the story of three colleagues frustrated by the exploits of their sexist boss. Redknapp will be Violet – played


by Lily Tomlin in the movie – while Conley will be the much-despised boss Franklin Hart. Amber Davies,

Grease is the word for Peter Andre


Pop star Peter Andre will star as Teen Angel in the UK and Ireland tour of Grease the Musical next year. It will be


the first new production in 25 years of the famous musical and will be directed by Nikolai Foster with choreography by former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips.


The tour will open at Leeds
