Celebrity releases images of

its first two river cruise ships Celebrity Cruises has unveiled the first images of its river cruise ships, giving its ocean-going clients a glimpse of what to expect on the rivers too. As the brand’s first foray into the river cruise sector, two ships – Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker – will be based on the Rhine and Danube from 2027. The line is promising an open-deck design that will mean the

ships will have the most usable outdoor space of any river ship. In keeping with the Magic Carpet on Celebrity’s Edge Class ships, the Magic Edge (a handful of cantilevered pods) will also allow clients to dine directly over the river. The ships will also feature an infinity-edge plunge pool at the

aft along with five stateroom categories including Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites with a skylight and separate living area. The ships are due to sail 33 seven-night sailings in 2027, with bookings set to open in early 2026.

Oceania and Silversea amend fare structures

Oceania Cruises and Silversea each made changes to their fare structures last month. Oceania guests now enjoy two extra benefits: either $600 in shore excursion credit or complimentary wine and beer during lunch and dinner hours. Meanwhile, Silversea has split its all-inclusive fares into three categories: two fares that either include or exclude shore excursions, as well as a last-minute fare for sailings departing within five months.
