Tui introduces Nile cruises on refurbished river vessel
Tui River Cruises is to start River Nile cruises, served by charter flights from Gatwick and Manchester airports. A refurbished 145-passenger ship will run seven-night sailings from Luxor, commencing in November 2024. Named Tui Al Horeya, the vessel will operate on an all- inclusive basis and include cabins for solo holidaymakers. Two flights a week on Thursdays will serve the ship between November 7 next year and April 24, 2025.
Package prices include two set excursions, such as to the Temple of Horus in Edfu and the Temple of Kom Ombo. Prices lead in at £1,399 per person, based on two adults sharing a Superior French Balcony cabin with flights from Gatwick on December 5, 2024. Tui Al Horeya – al horeya means ‘freedom’ in Arabic – will be the fourth ship in Tui River Cruises’ fleet of adult-only ships.
Norwegian Viva to be christened in November
Norwegian Viva will be christened by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi at a ceremony in Miami in November. The second ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima class will then homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from where it will sail winter Caribbean itineraries. A seven-day round-trip Caribbean
sailing will depart San Juan and call at the British Virgin Islands, Antigua, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin and the US Virgin Islands. Prices start at £1,357 based on a January 7, 2024, departure, with accommodation in an Oceanview cabin. In May 2024, the ship will sail to Europe for a second summer of Mediterranean voyages.

Nicko Cruises releases 2024 river programme
Nicko Cruises has released a 2024 brochure featuring sailings on new 180-passenger vessel Bellejour. The collection offers 24 itineraries
on seven European rivers and operated by 13 of the line’s ships. A three-night round-trip Advent on the Rhine sailing on Rhein Symphonie departs Cologne and calls at Rüdesheim and Koblenz. Prices start at £945 based on two people sharing and departing on December 17, 2024.
Celestyal and Riviera join up for Greek isles holiday
Riviera Travel and Celestyal Cruises have partnered for the first time to offer a 10-night Greek islands cruise-and-stay itinerary. The package comprises a seven- night sailing, coupled with hotel stays in Athens for one night pre-cruise and two nights post-cruise.
The cruise is on the refurbished, 1,260-passenger Celestyal Journey and will feature guided tours of Kusadasi, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Prices start at £2,199.
