Greek capital Athens is being added to the Jet2holidays network for summer 2022. Two flights a week will operate from each of Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted airports between April and the end of October.
Jet2.com is also introducing two other routes: Manchester- Toulouse and Glasgow-Kos.

Scenic has added two escorted touring itineraries as part of its new Australia and New Zealand programme for 2021-22. The 10-day Gems of South
Australia trip starts in Adelaide and includes the Barossa Valley wine region and Kangaroo Island. It costs from £3,095 for a departure on October 16, 2021. The 15-day New Zealand
Panorama tour travels from Auckland to Queenstown and includes Rotorua’s geothermal pools, Lake Tekapo and Milford Sound. It is priced from £4,745, departing on October 7, 2021. Scenic is offering up to £1,000
off per person for bookings made by February 28.

from city breaks to active countryside escapes, for 2021 following the success of its two wellness weekends in Devon and Wales last summer. Most of the new UK trips fall under the operator’s
Detour range, which comprises 18 short-break adventures for 2021-22 aimed at millennial and Gen Z holidaymakers. Detour offers short breaks worldwide for groups
of eight on average. Themes range from active and adventure to food-inspired and wellness trips in destinations such as Austria, Croatia, France, Botswana, Costa Rica and South Africa, as well as the UK. Each

Olympic Holidays has added the Greek island of Aegina to its programme for summer 2021. The operator is offering hotels and self-catering apartments with flights from 25 UK airports to Athens plus a 40-minute ferry crossing to Aegina. Prices in June start at £640 including flights from Luton. Deposits start from £89, with balances due 12 weeks prior to travel.

Detour holiday is hosted by a local who invites travellers into their lives or homes to share their passions. The trips can be sold as add-ons to Contiki’s longer holidays. The expanded range of domestic breaks follows
a survey of Contiki’s UK clients that found 71% of respondents are planning to travel in the UK this year. Of those, 38% cited Scotland as their destination
choice, while 15% wanted to experience English national parks. The new UK breaks include London, Brighton, the Lake District, Peak District and Scotland. A four-day food-themed Brighton Mini Break, from £425, includes a tour of the Lanes, a private cheese and wine pairing with a sommelier, and dinner at a family- run brewery. Accommodation is at an Ibis hotel. A four-day Hiking and Bushcraft trip in the Lake
District, from £375, starts from Hawkshead in Cumbria and includes fell walking, hiking, archery and axe-throwing.

Sandals and Beaches Resorts to offer pre-departure Covid tests Sandals will be offering all guests free Covid-19 tests once flights to the UK are permitted again. The tests will take place at Sandals and Beaches Resorts properties within 72 hours of guests’ return flights, with results available within 24 hours. The UK government recently announced travellers returning to the UK must present a negative Covid-19 test result before boarding.
