Leger launches six new battlefield tours of world war sites
Leger Holidays has unveiled six new First and Second World War tours for 2026 and 2027. The coach operator now offers
57 battlefield tours, from £429, and also features other military campaigns, such as the Peninsular War and Battle of Waterloo. New tours include Band of
Brothers 25th Anniversary, with five and seven-day durations, from £799. It marks the 25th anniversary next year of the TV mini-series Band of Brothers and takes clients to Normandy to trace the story of Easy Company. Also new is Menin Gate
Centenary, from £519 for four days, departing July 23, 2027. Build-Up to D-Day 1944 is
a five-day UK-based tour, from £649, which visits locations around Portsmouth, including the D-Day Museum, Bovington Tank Museum and Tangmere Museum.

Fred Holidays gets on track with Swiss partners for rail brochure

Fred Holidays has partnered with Switzerland Tourism and Travel Switzerland to launch a rail holidays brochure that showcases the country as a year-round destination. The new brochure follows a 63% year-on-year
increase in Swiss holidays for Fred Holidays, with 89% of these bookings coming through the trade. Featuring eight new tours, some of which are
exclusive to Fred Holidays, the brochure includes the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express, as well as “interesting alternatives” such as the Gotthard Panorama Express, GoldenPass and the Centovalli Railway. City breaks showcase destinations such as Zurich
and Basel that are easy to access by air and rail and can be a base from which to explore. The new tours include the seven-night Swiss Glaciers,

Globus adds small-group tours in
Ireland, Sicily/Malta and Portugal Globus has added three Europe itineraries to its small-group discovery tours range.
