Ritz-Carlton reveals 2027 cruise season in Asia and Alaska
Ella Sagar
Te Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled Asia and Alaska itineraries on board its newest ship, Luminara, for summer 2027. The programme features
21 voyages between April and October 2027, with 15 sailings in Alaska, four cruises in Asia and two transcontinental crossings. The 452-berth all-suite Luminara
will return to Alaska in April 2027 after its inaugural season in the region this summer, with a series of voyages between Vancouver in British Columbia and Whittier in Alaska. Nearly all voyages will be eight
nights or longer, and include a glacier day, a sailing through Tracy Arm fjord and stops at smaller ports such as Wrangell and Klawock. Excursions include privately
chartered glacier flights, wilderness landings and small-group Zodiac outings, a cured Alaska salmon masterclass and craft beer tasting. The Asia season adds Seoul in South Korea as a new turnaround

port and Tianjin in China as a new port of call as a gateway to Beijing. Northern Japan will also debut
as a new region for the luxury operator, with inaugural calls scheduled in Otaru and Akita. Two highlighted Alaska voyages
are the eight-night Vancouver round trip on June 28, with calls in Klawock and Sitka, and the nine-night Vancouver to Whittier sailing on August 11, which will visit more-remote outposts. Two sample Asia cruises are
the 10-night Tokyo to Seoul sailing on April 25, with calls in Shimizu, Fukoka and Beijing, and the 10-night Tokyo Round Trip on October 13, which visits Osaka, Nagasaki and Kagoshima.

2028 will welcome Seabourn’s 40th Year with an incredible collection of worldwide voyages, the largest launch of new sailings in the company’s history – and one glorious celebratory event: Seabourn’s Ruby ‘Jubilee at Sea’.
Last year I was lucky enough to celebrate my
own Ruby Anniversary with my lovely husband Paul . . . and here we are planning for Seabourn’s 40th milestone in 2028. It might seem ages away, but how time flies. The new itineraries – with departures up to April 2029 – will be on public sale from March 25, and guests can save up to 10% with our early-booking offer until April 7.
Our 2028 World Cruise is already on sale and
selling very well. This ‘Cape to Cape’ voyage spans five continents, with experiences ranging from Easter Island and Cape Town to an expedition sector in Antarctica. My favourite destination: South Africa – wine, safaris and stunning scenery!
Thinking back to 1988 when The Yachts of Seabourn was born, George Michael was No 1 with his hit single Faith, denim jackets were in fashion (I had one!), floppy discs were a thing, and the Netherlands became only the second country connected to the internet!
How things have changed. Seabourn now
operates three boutique ocean ships and two purpose-built PC6 expedition vessels. The world is literally our oyster – or should I say ‘ruby’! Watch out for more details about our special celebrations.
