Wizz Air gains right to run charter flights for World Cup in US
Wizz Air UK plans to run charter flights for the Fifa World Cup after gaining the green light to start transatlantic services to the US. The budget carrier expects
“strong interest” from football teams and fans participating in the World Cup this summer. In a statement, the airline said:
“With approvals now secured, Wizz Air UK may provide tailored charter flights for European football teams and supporters travelling to the World Cup, and to tour operators organising group travel to the US.” The airline can to serve the US
East Coast using ultra-long-range Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The airline’s charter services are also available to corporate and private groups and other organisations.

Jet2 unveils Christmas market trips to Strasbourg and Colmar

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have unwrapped two new Christmas market destinations in France for winter 2026-27 – Strasbourg and Colmar. They are on sale from Edinburgh, Manchester and
Stansted, with flights and city breaks available from late November until the week before Christmas. For Colmar, customers will fly to Strasbourg and make
their own way by train to the historic town in Alsace. The sister brands said the additions were in response
to “continued demand” from customers.

biggest-ever Christmas markets programme next winter, with 15 destinations on sale from 13 UK airports. Edinburgh will have flights on Mondays and Fridays
Tui introduces Polish mountain resort of Zakopane for summer
Tui has added Zakopane in Poland to its Lakes & Mountains range, describing it as “one of Europe’s most spectacular yet little-known mountain towns”.
