HAL hails ‘exotic’ destinations in Asia 2024-25 schedule

Holland America Line has unveiled itineraries for its 2024-25 Asia season, with departures from Hong Kong, Singapore and the Japanese port of Yokohama (for Tokyo). HAL chief commercial officer
Beth Bodensteiner said: “The demand for Asia remains strong as cruisers seek experiences to exotic and off-the-beaten-path locales.” Noordam will sail nine 14-day
itineraries around Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Westerdam will head to Asia
on a new 53-day Majestic Japan Legendary Voyage, round-trip from Seattle, departing September 1, 2024. The sailing features 21 ports
of call, of which 13 are in Japan including overnights in Yokohama and Kobe, plus Honolulu, Hawaii. It costs from £9,739. Also new is a 28-Day Coral
Triangle, Volcanoes and The Great Noordam
Barrier Reef cruise on Noordam, departing January 5, 2025. The Singapore round-trip sailing
visits 10 ports in five countries, including Indonesia and the Philippines, and costs from £4,929. HAL has also unveiled details
of its ‘Legendary Voyages’ to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific in 2024-25. Legendary Voyages range in
duration from 25 to 59 days, with most sailing round-trip or to/from a North American homeport.
Westerdam will spend the winter
in Australasia, while Koningsdam and Zaandam will operate around the South Pacific and Hawaii. In October 2024, Westerdamsails
a westwardly South Pacific crossing, followed by a 35-day Australia Circumnavigation, departing from Sydney on November 17, 2024. The latter voyage is priced
from £6,269. Taxes, fees and port expenses
