How members use software in a modern travel business

I

’ve been with Protected Trust Services (PTS) since the beginning and watched every milestone come to fruition with our software. It’s become such a vital part of our membership.

I’m often asked what part of our system is used the most. We usually shout about how the PTS software is used to accurately reconcile client money in and out of trust accounts. Second to that, members are most engaged on a daily basis with the CRM and the ability to diarise clients, send and record emails and use the client itinerary feature so they can see their booking in real time.

There are areas of the software members are surprised to discover, such as finding out how simple it is to create card payment links for their clients to pay via debit or credit card. Coupled with email integration, this allows them to efficiently chase payments from clients.

So many members come to us and concentrate (quite rightly) on the client money in and out aspect. But slowly, over time, I see members playing around further in the software. We have many tutorial videos, live chat support and our member support team to answer queries.

I’m so proud of the PTS software. Seeing card payment integrations and live supplier data are real focus points for me. Equally, I love it when I see members are using features such as client quoting and the client itineraries. The continual development of these features allows them to add customised branding, which brings a huge sense of achievement.

So much comes in one package. Our members’ transactions from clients are reconciled on a daily basis between multi-currency trust accounts. They have clients’ bookings in the same CRM system that supports email integrations, client quoting, sleek client itinerary generation, unlimited users per business and user permission management, finance reporting and more.

Our team is always working hard to keep the PTS software updated and accommodate members’ requests for the little things that make running their own business that bit easier. Sometimes, the features are already there and they weren’t aware. However, we always consider member requests and look at how the potential update can work for everyone.

We have so many exciting things lined up. The next big step is to include integrations such as WhatsApp to communicate with clients; Xero accounting integration for the bookkeepers; and bookable live supplier availability across all sectors. From member requests to refining communication and making selling travel simple for every PTS member, there is so much more to come.
