This is despite the fact that there is a strong chance that the defi ning business challenge of the 21st century will be ensuring that data, bank accounts and intellectual property remain secure. Key fi ndings include: 95% of respondents consider cyber security
to be ‘very’ or ‘quite important’ to their business, and yet 45% say they do not have a formal cyber security strategy; 44% have laid on cyber awareness training, and many leave gaps of more than a year between their training programmes; 50% of IoD members report they would not know which authorities to notify if they were hit by a cyber attack.
