OMNIE has published a Developers’ Guide aimed at helping housebuilders and property companies differentiate their projects in a crowded market place: ensuring their buyers enjoy the most comfortable and healthy indoor environments. The refurbishment of two complete fl oors to one of the City’s largest offi ce buildings is making use of the well proven and versatile TBA FIREFLY™

while the work is being carried out: protecting people and property across the rest of the fi ve storey structure where business continues as normal. The project at 30 Fenchurch Street, EC3 is being led by Overbury – one of the capital’s most experienced fi t-out contractors, while the London offi ce of HLW Architects is leading the design team. T&R Fire Protection meanwhile is the specialist sub-contractor carrying out the installation of the Phoenix around the atrium, as well as other passive fi re protection measures as the scheme evolves. In total T&R has fi xed 22 rolls of the lightweight Phoenix material to create the two hour integrity smoke and fl ame barriers around the glazed edge of the fl oor plates at levels Three and Four of 30 Fenchurch Street. The lightweight barrier has been fi xed to the bulkhead and at intervals down all of the existing columns, before fi nally being secured across steel angle sections bolted to the fl oor slab.

OMNIE launches ASHP guide for installers


OMNIE has launched a new Knowledge Guide for installers, which offers a comprehensive overview of air source heat pumps (ASHPs), and the help that is available in obtaining a BUS – or Boiler Upgrade Scheme - voucher. This downloadable, seven-page publication starts by explaining about the company’s ‘Experience on tap’ before reassuring installers regarding the ‘tried, tested and trusted’ nature of OMNIE’s product ranges. This is fol- lowed by a page outlining key points such as stressing that performance is a top priority for the company’s technical experts, while dedicated project managers are on hand to offer guidance from the planning stages to installation and handover. Impressively, OMNIE boasts three decades’ experience in the fi eld which has resulted in its industry leading hole House System philosophy, which seeks to constantly improve indoor air uality as well as delivering optimum effi ciency. ther key points include OMNIE’s products being award winning, while its free design service not only sies the heat pump, but covers heat delivery, controls and  provision, while commissioning is taken care of by its partner company. The remainder of the guide concentrates on the all-important, Govern- ment funded Boiler Upgrade Scheme – and it is here where the installer is assured how the OMNIE team takes care of the application for the £5,000 grant as well as how their customers qualify.
