Esh Construction completes £3m Sheffi eld aff ordable homes scheme


Esh Construction has handed over 20 new affordable homes at Fir View Gardens in heffi eld. Working on behalf of reat laces ousing roup, the development has been delivered on a vacant piece of land off sgathorpe rive, close to the arl Marshal Recreation round.


The two and three-bedroom homes have been built for affordable rent and include associated parking and landscaping.  fabric fi rst approach was used in both design and construction, with maximising energy effi ciency being made a top priority, said the housebuilder sh onstructions operations director, imon Woodward, said ir iew was the fi rst contract we were awarded through the nnovation hain orth framework, and it proved a real success for sh in delivering energy effi cient homes while providing added benefi t to the community through school engagement, volunteering and community funding. Fir View Gardens is one of the developments that reat laces ousing roup is delivering in outh orkshire as part of the housing associations commitment to build additional affordable homes in the area. ther proects include  homes at Riverdale ark in oncaster and  apartments at ondon Road close to heffi eld city centre.
