The following suggestions can help to ensure that the words in the game are read correctly:
Read all of words as a whole-class activity before playing the game. Model playing the game in pairs, demonstrating how pupils should read the word that their partner has landed on in order to check that their partner has read it correctly.
Divide pupils into reading groups. Sit with the weakest group most of the time, but visit another group. The game could be played for a short period on three consecutive days.
The game could be assigned for homework. vi
